Straight answers about pricing, Canadian tax and payments, data migration, and security — including what we haven't built yet.
No. Outfttr is built for lodges, outfitters, and camps: per-person or per-trip pricing, a guide-facing print schedule, multi-location grids for a main lodge plus outposts, and terminology you configure (Cabin, Room, Site, Stand). A hotel PMS doesn't model any of that.
Yes, one account, one grid, across every location and season. Dogskin Lake Lodge runs summer fishing and September moose hunting on the same Outfttr account.
Yes. Locations are a first-class part of the data model — a main lodge and its outpost camps show on one occupancy grid, not separate systems.
Starter is $49/month, Professional is $149/month, Outfitter is $299/month — flat monthly pricing, billed in USD. No per-booking fee on any plan.
No. There's no setup fee on any plan.
1.5% on Starter, 0.9% on Professional, 0.5% on Outfitter — applied to every online payment processed through Outfttr, including bank transfers (ACH/PAD), not just cards. It's the same rate either way. On Starter the platform fee is never more than $250 a month: once a calendar month's fees reach $250, the rest of that month's payments carry no platform fee. Refunding a payment through Outfttr returns the platform fee on the refunded amount.
Yes — 30 days, no credit card required.
Built-in import tools let you bring in your current guests and bookings yourself (CSV/XLSX), at no extra cost. For Guest Tracker and other systems, we offer a paid service to extract your data for you: from $950 for Guest Tracker, and a custom quote for others depending on complexity. Paid extraction is quoted up front, before any work starts.
No. Card payments are optional. Outfttr works fully without them: record cash, cheques, e-Transfer and bank payments by hand. Turn on Stripe and guests pay a deposit or balance from a link in their email, in about a minute. It's recorded on the booking automatically, so nothing gets retyped, balances update themselves, and the next reminder won't ask for money already paid. Stripe's own fees apply, plus our platform fee on Stripe payments. Bank payments depend on your Stripe account's country: ACH for US accounts, pre-authorized debit on CAD payments for Canadian accounts.
Yes. A CAD-home tenant charges guests in CAD. A USD-home tenant can set a CAD alternate currency per reservation, with the exchange rate frozen when the payment link is created.
Yes — the tax engine is configurable per tenant, so you set up whatever combination of taxes your province requires. Each charge freezes its tax detail, so a later rate change doesn't rewrite past invoices.
Yes. Staff record an e-Transfer in one click and can send the guest step-by-step instructions with the converted amount. It settles straight to your bank account — no platform fee on e-Transfer.
There's no such certification — PIPEDA obligations belong to your lodge, not to us. We built Outfttr to support your PIPEDA obligations: encryption, access controls, an audit trail, and clear written terms on how we process your data. See /security.
Yes, any time, no penalty. Settings → Data Export generates a full workbook of guests, reservations, charges, and reports.

For Guest Tracker and other systems, we offer a paid service to extract your data for you: from $950 for Guest Tracker, and a custom quote for others depending on complexity. Guest Tracker's 1990s database format needs hands-on extraction, which we've done for our own 27 years of data. See /migrate.
Yes — guest records, reservation history, charges, and unit assignments carry over. See /migrate for the exact scope of what's included.

Yes. PostgreSQL Row-Level Security enforces per-tenant isolation at the database level — no customer can see another customer's data. See /security.
Yes — 7 rounds of independent security review across the codebase. 61 formal findings, 59 fully remediated, and the remaining 2 hardened with monitoring in place. See /security.
Not yet. Today, staff create bookings from the grid and send the guest a payment link and pre-trip questionnaire — there's no public availability calendar a guest can book from directly.
Not yet. Guests get no-login links to pay a balance, sign a waiver, and fill out a questionnaire, but there's no unified guest account and no native mobile app today.
No, not today. We're upfront about that gap for hunting-camp operators rather than claiming it works.
